Courts of BC

This Lesson Plan provides teachers with three activities and homework assignments that use the videos on www.courtsofbc.ca to explain the functions of the different courts of BC to students. This resource will consider some issues common to every court, such as judicial independence and access to the courts. It will review the concepts of criminal and civil law. Students may be assessed on participation and the accuracy of their answers. A list of enrichment activities is provided.
